Morocco Extends Flight Ban Until Year’s End, Royal Air Maroc Cancels All Routes

Following the extension of the suspension of air links by the Moroccan authorities until December 31, the airline Royal Air Maroc (RAM) has canceled all its flights to and from Morocco.
In a message posted on its Twitter account, Royal Air Maroc informs its customers of the cancellation of its flights to and from Morocco in both directions from December 9, 2021, until December 31, 2021 at 11:59 p.m.
On Thursday, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) announced that all flights to and from Morocco are suspended from December 9 until at least December 31. The suspension of passenger flights to and from the kingdom is thus extended until at least December 31.
The Moroccan authorities had suspended on November 29 air flights to and from the kingdom until December 13 due to the rapid spread of the new variant of the Covid-19 virus - Omicron (B.1.1.529), particularly in Europe and Africa. A decision which is also motivated by the concern to preserve the achievements made by Morocco in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and to protect the health of citizens.
