Morocco Suspends Court Hearings Nationwide Amid Coronavirus Concerns

Hearings are suspended at the level of Moroccan courts, starting this Monday, March 16, until further notice.
This measure, decided by the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, the Ministry of Justice and the Public Prosecutor’s Office, as part of the prevention measures, aims to fight against the spread of the new coronavirus Covid-19.
According to a joint press release, this new measure concerns the holding of hearings in all courts of the kingdom, with the exception of those related to detainees’ cases, emergency cases and investigation cases.
All institutions and authorities are required to strictly apply this measure, each in its own field.
