Morocco Surpasses 1,000 COVID-19 Deaths as New Cases Spike Nationwide

1,221 coronavirus infections were recorded on Thursday, August 27 in Morocco, according to the Ministry of Health, bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases to 57,085 since last March. Morocco has now exceeded 1,000 deaths.

Here are the other figures to remember:
• 27 deaths since last night. Total at 1,011. Fatality rate at 1.8%.
• 20,788 tests. Total at 1,789,175.
• 1,315 new recoveries. Total at 41,901.
• 14,173 patients under treatment.
• 183 people in serious condition, including 44 on artificial respirators.
Yesterday, the Ministry of Health announced a record 2,293 recoveries, the highest figure since the start of the epidemic in the country.
