Morocco Surpasses 50,000 COVID-19 Cases as Daily Infections Spike

1,565 coronavirus infections were recorded this Saturday, August 22 in Morocco, according to the Ministry of Health, bringing the total number of Covid-19 cases to 50,812 since last March.

• 41 deaths since last night. Total at 858. Fatality rate at 1.7%
• 20,778 tests. Total at 1,686,114.
• 841 new recoveries. Total at 35,040.
• 14,914 patients under treatment.
• 186 people in serious condition, including 30 under artificial respirator.
For yesterday, Friday, August 21, the authorities announced a record of 42 deaths in just 24 hours.
