Morocco Successfully Tests Israeli SpyX Attack Drone in Military Exercise

The Royal Armed Forces have recently successfully conducted the first test with the Israeli drone SpyX, acquired a few months ago.
The test operation was "very successful," as evidenced by the videos published on the website of the company BlueBird, a subsidiary of the Israeli company IAI, specialized in the design, development and manufacture of drones. "The mission included an attack on an Ratel IFV armored vehicle. The drone reached its target and collided with the armored vehicle, causing it to explode," details the manufacturer.
The SpyX drone is a reconnaissance and attack drone that has a target detection system and a day/night thermal sensor. It can reach its targets at a speed of 250 km/h and its crew cannot exceed two people.
Morocco received its first drones last June, Israeli media recall, stressing that "the Royal Armed Forces tested these drones before buying them in large quantities, becoming the first military force to acquire this type of drone after their presentation by BlueBird just a few months ago."
The kingdom launched in September 2022 the order of 150 WanderB and ThunderB drones, as well as two satellite reconnaissance devices of the Ofek-13 type, from the same Israeli manufacturer, BlueBird. Israel is one of Morocco’s main arms suppliers. According to the latest annual report of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) on the arms trade, the kingdom buys 11% of Israeli weapons.
