The Moroccan women’s team secured its first World Cup triumph, overcoming South Korea with a tight score of 1-0.
The still-rookie team offered a very nice victory thanks to a magnificent header signed by Ibtissam Jraidi in the 6th minute of the match.
Coached by Frenchman Reynald Pedros, the Atlas Lionesses are recovering from a 6-0 defeat against Germany. This victory against South Korea represents a glimmer of hope for qualification for the World Cup round of 16.
Before being able to consider the next step, they will have to face the very difficult Colombian team on the last day of group H, this Thursday.
