Moroccans celebrating and Cristiano Ronaldo crying. Tonight, one of the best players of all time has probably played his last international match.
After being a substitute in the round of 16, Cristiano Ronaldo remained on the bench against Morocco. It wasn’t until the 51st minute that we saw him enter the field. Despite his pressing and that of his teammates, it was impossible today to reach the net of Yassine Bounou, still imperial tonight.
Right after the end of the match, Ronaldo did not linger on the field like his teammates. He headed straight for the locker room, in tears. Undoubtedly one of the strong images of this World Cup in Qatar.
