But what caught the attention of the spectators the most was the moment when Moroccan striker Rosella Ayane scored the winning penalty. She calmly slid the ball before turning around, looking perplexed. The 26-year-old player seemed confused and did not know that she had just qualified her team for the final.
The cheers of the supporters and her teammates allowed her to realize it. Rosella immediately jumped for joy. Her teammates ran towards her and surrounded her. "No idea it was the winning penalty... Good vibes only," she wrote on her Instagram account after the match.
Morocco will face South Africa in the final, who narrowly defeated Zambia 1-0.
