More than a month after launching a tender for the import of American durum wheat, Morocco still hasn’t found any suppliers.
The tender for the import of durum wheat into Morocco remains unsuccessful. The National Interprofessional Office of Cereals and Legumes (ONICL) did not receive any bids for its tender opened on August 6 to import about 363,000 tons of durum wheat of American origin under reduced tariff import quotas, European traders said, adding that the tender will have to be closed on September 21.
They also said that the tender specifies that shipments should arrive at Moroccan ports before December 31.
