Morocco Speeds Up Highway Projects Ahead of 2030 World Cup

The Minister of Equipment and Water, Nizar Baraka, announced to the House of Representatives that Morocco is accelerating the pace for the completion of the technical studies of the highways and expressways planned as part of the organization of the 2030 World Cup.
A partnership agreement with the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region will soon be signed in this regard. "We are all mobilized today for the implementation of the necessary infrastructure in preparation for the organization of the 2030 World Cup," said Nizar Baraka, recalling that the host cities have already been designated.
A ministerial committee is currently working on the programming of these road projects in order to ensure their completion before 2030. Among the priority projects are the highway connecting Rabat to Casablanca and the continental highway, whose studies are finalized and the tenders launched.
