Morocco vs Spain World Cup Tickets Hit $2,000 on Black Market as Demand Soars

At least $500 or at worst $2,000. This is the price at which tickets for the round of 16 match pitting Morocco against Spain on Tuesday at 4 pm are being sold on the black market. As soon as Morocco qualified, Moroccan supporters rushed to get tickets to experience this historic event live. Speculators also took advantage of this to buy as many tickets as possible, seeing a good deal coming, reports Le Matin.

Since the start of the World Cup, their massive presence in the stadium to encourage the players has greatly contributed to the results obtained by Morocco. But today with the tickets unavailable or sold at astronomical prices, the Moroccan supporters considered as the "12th player" will no longer be in sufficient numbers as hoped. "There are no more tickets for the Morocco-Spain match on sale on the FIFA platform," explains researcher Moncef Lyazghi in a video posted on his Facebook account from Doha.

He even refuses to think about what could happen with the thousands of supporters preparing to leave Morocco. "If the supporters arriving from Morocco do not have their tickets in advance, they will find a chaotic situation and will not have access to the tickets, unless the organizers find a solution to this problem," he warned.

Perhaps the 5,000 tickets that the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) was able to obtain from FIFA could help correct this situation that Moncef Lyazghi describes as "chaotic".
