Morocco-Spain Maritime Links Restored, Easing Travel for Diaspora

It is now official. Following the visit of the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sanchez, to Morocco, it was decided to immediately restore the maritime links between Morocco and Spain. Moroccans living abroad will therefore be able to travel to Morocco via Spain by boat this year.
This announcement was made in the final declaration adopted at the end of the discussions between King Mohammed VI and Pedro Sanchez, who paid an official visit to Morocco yesterday, Thursday, at the invitation of the Sovereign.
"The full normalization of the movement of people and goods will be restored in an orderly manner, including appropriate customs control and people arrangements at the land and maritime level," the final declaration states.
"Passenger maritime links between the two countries will be restored immediately and gradually until the opening of all frequencies," it is specified.
Similarly, the resumption of the Marhaba operation dedicated to Moroccans living abroad was announced.
