Morocco-Spain Investment Forum Debuts in Dakhla, Drawing Spanish Business Leaders

The first Morocco-Spain investment forum in Dakhla will be held this week. Many Spanish businessmen will participate in this meeting.
Organized by the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab regional council and the Moroccan Ministry of Commerce and Industry, this forum dedicated to investment in Dakhla will take place in the coming days in this city of the Sahara and will see the participation of more than a hundred businessmen from Catalonia and Andalusia, reports La Razon.
This meeting, the second of its kind, will come a week after the Morocco-US forum held in New York. The Minister of Industry, Ryad Mezzour, and the President of the region, Yanja El Khettat, will discuss on this occasion the investment opportunities available to Moroccan and Spanish operators in the area.

Participants will exchange in panels on topics such as "What investments and what infrastructure for a green industry?"; "Key innovative and sustainable sectors: agriculture, fishing and agro-industrial activities" or "The tertiary sector, a lever for the attractiveness of the territory and the improvement of the business climate". They will also visit, starting June 22, ongoing projects in the region, such as the Dakhla-Atlantique port, the new industrial zone, fishing facilities, etc.
This Morocco-Spain investment forum is taking place "in a context conducive to strengthening the historical ties between the two countries," the organizers point out, recalling that in 2021, "Morocco’s exports to Spain amounted to around 7.3 billion euros and imports from Spain to the kingdom reached 9.5 billion euros".
