Morocco’s Social Security Fund Addresses Delay in Family Allowance Payments

Beneficiaries of the allowances were surprised by the delay in the payment of their July and August allowances. When questioned, the National Social Security Fund cited a malfunction related to the non-declaration of employees in July and August.
Employers in the tourism sector and other sectors, following the announcement of the end of the measures enacted by the CVE, failed to declare their employees to the CNSS. This error was the cause of the non-allocation of family contributions to the beneficiaries, explained the CNSS executives. According to these executives, the fund has committed to resolving the problem so that the 42,000 beneficiaries of the lump-sum allowance are paid.
Latest news, employees in the tourism sector have finally been able to receive the lump-sum allowance of 2,000 DH for the months of July and August paid since October 8. The institution promises that these employees will also be able to benefit from health insurance (AMO) until the end of December 2020 as provided for in the 2020-2022 program contract.
It also assured that employees in the events, catering and amusement park sectors will be able to benefit from the lump-sum allowance thanks to the signing, on October 5, of two program contracts.
