Morocco Slips to 14th in FIFA World Rankings, Retains Top Spot in Africa

The Moroccan national football team loses a place in the latest FIFA ranking published on Thursday. It goes from 13th to 14th place in the world.
Despite this decline on the global scale, the Atlas Lions maintain their supremacy on the African continent. With a total of 1,655.5 points, they remain first, relegating Senegal to 18th place in the world with 1,612.61 points.
The top of the ranking remains stable with Argentina in the lead, bolstered by its 1,843.73 points, closely followed by France. The podium is completed by Brazil, third with 1,828.27 points. England follows in fourth place with 1,797.39 points, ahead of Belgium.
The absence of matches during the month of July mainly explains Morocco’s decline.
