Morocco Shortens Covid Booster Wait Time to 4 Months

Moroccans who have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine can receive the third booster dose after four months.
In a press release, the Ministry of Health states that the vaccine booster can be administered 4 months after the last injection of the two-dose vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech, Sinopharm or AstraZeneca) and 4 weeks after the single injection of Janssen.
According to the ministry, the Moroccans concerned will receive an SMS from 1717, reminding them of their vaccination status, specifying that vaccination takes place in all vaccination centers without any residential address requirement.
The possibility of an epidemic relapse remains very likely, given the worrying increase in the number of cases of contamination and epidemic outbreaks, particularly family ones, warned the ministry.
Consequently, Moroccans are called upon to accelerate the taking of the first, second and third doses, by fully committing to taking individual and collective preventive measures.
