Morocco Sets Mawlid 2019 Date: Prophet Muhammad’s Birthday Celebration on November 10

The crescent moon of the month of Rabiï Al Awwal of the year 1441 will be visible on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, according to a press release from the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.
The observation of the crescent moon of the month of Rabiï, carried out on the evening of Monday, 29 Safar 1441 corresponding to October 28, 2019, did not allow it to be visualized, the press release states.
Consequently, the feast of the Prophet Muhammad, or the Mawlid 2019 festival, celebrated each year on the 12th of the Arab month, will take place on Sunday, November 10, 2019.
In the public administrations, as in a large part of the private sector, Monday, November 11 will also be a paid holiday.
