Morocco Set to Reopen Borders June 10, Airlines Await Official Confirmation

Airlines are trying to reassure passengers regarding flights to Morocco. They are all awaiting a clear decision from the government to officially confirm the flights already planned.
"We inform you that flights from June 11 are confirmed subject to the reopening of airspace." This is what Royal Air Maroc affirmed. Although the second part of the response maintains the uncertainty, the reopening of the Moroccan borders seems certain, surrounded by a few conditions including the possession of a vaccination pass, the result of a negative PCR test within 48 hours, pending the generalization of the health passport. Moreover, pending the final decision of the government on the reopening of borders, measures to ease the restrictions previously taken have been put in place. Among other things, restaurants are authorized to open until 11 p.m., as well as beaches and cinemas.

All these flexibilities suggest that the necessary conditions to welcome tourists are in place. In addition, Club Med has announced the opening of its Marrakech and Cabo Negro clubs on June 12 and 26. Moreover, the desire for a resumption is not only present in Morocco, but everywhere in the world, in order to revive the economy severely weakened by the crisis. Thus, on June 1, the EU launched its system to which about half of the Member States are already connected. Carried out in the form of a technical platform, this system will allow the issuance of certificates proving that a person is vaccinated or immune to Covid. In addition, some countries have already started issuing the first certificates.
