Morocco Set to Reopen Airport Access for Non-Travelers After Two-Year Ban

Banned for more than two years, Moroccan airports could be accessible to non-travelers again.
Sources within the National Airports Office (ONDA) cited by the site le360 claim that several Moroccan airports should be accessible to everyone, including escorts, again, after two years of prohibition for security reasons.
Until now, only travelers with a valid travel document were allowed to enter the airports, much to the dismay of shops and restaurants that complained of a significant drop in their turnover.
In April 2016, a source cited by telquel.ma explained that "access to the airport is strictly reserved for passengers, airport and airline personnel. Escorts are prohibited in all Moroccan airports".
