Morocco Sends COVID-19 Medical Aid to 15 African Nations, King Mohammed VI Directs

King Mohammed VI is determined to support African countries engaged in the fight against coronavirus. To this end, instructions have been given this Sunday for the dispatch of medical aid to 15 African countries.
These 15 African countries will benefit from the support of the Moroccan sovereign. They are Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Comoros, Congo, Eswatini, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Malawi, Mauritania, Niger, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Tanzania, Chad and Zambia.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that this aid aims to provide preventive medical equipment to accompany the brotherly African countries in their efforts to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
This support consists of nearly 8 million masks, 900,000 visors, 600,000 caps, 60,000 gowns, 30,000 liters of hydroalcoholic gel, as well as 75,000 boxes of chloroquine and 15,000 boxes of Azithromycin.
For the ministry, this support is part of the implementation of the Initiative launched by the King on April 13, 2020, as a pragmatic and action-oriented approach. It is intended for the brotherly African countries, allowing for the sharing of experiences and good practices and aimed at establishing an operational framework. All the protective products and equipment making up this medical support are manufactured in Morocco and comply with the standards of the World Health Organization.
