Morocco Seeks South Korean Investment in Automotive and Aerospace Industries

To discuss opportunities for Korean investment in Morocco, the Moroccan Investment and Export Development Agency (AMDIE) organized a Roadshow in South Korea last week, in the presence of several investors and the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA).
Initiated on the sidelines of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, this campaign to promote the Moroccan destination has made it possible to present the assets of the Moroccan industrial platform, and the strengths of the kingdom’s global trades, including the automotive and aeronautical industries, reports the Korean site The Korea Times, specifying that the objective is to forge partnerships with Korean manufacturers, particularly in high value-added sectors.
On this occasion, Meryem Kabbadj, Director of Exports at AMDIE, expressed Morocco’s intention to increase the level of integration of new technologies, stating that Korea can be a good partner in this regard.
"During the meeting with the Korea Importers Association (KOIMA), the members showed great interest in the opportunities available in Morocco and we are delighted to continue the discussions in this area," she said. "We are eager to strengthen this collaboration. It’s a good dynamic and we think there is good potential to explore in different sectors, whether for investment or for trade," she added.
