Morocco Seeks Israeli Delilah Missiles in $500 Million Defense Deal

Morocco plans to acquire Israeli-made cruise missiles, Delilah, to arm its F-5 fighters.
Morocco is considering buying the Israeli Delilah missiles, capable of hitting land and maritime targets at over 250 km. In February, Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) concluded an agreement with Morocco to supply this advanced air defense system. The operation should cost more than $500 million.

The approval of the Israeli security institutions is necessary for the purchase of the Delilah missile, which will significantly strengthen Morocco’s ability to carry out precision attacks with its F-5 fighters, reports Defensa.

The Delilah models that Morocco intends to acquire have the ability to search, identify and fly over a target before launching the attack. The Delilah is 2.71 meters long, 33 cm in diameter and weighs 185 kg. It is equipped with a turbojet engine and a system capable of modulating its speed between 400 and 850 km/h.
