Morocco Seeks to Boost Tourism from Israel with Diplomatic Visit to Marrakech Region

The Israeli community in Morocco intends to promote tourism. In this sense, Simon Skira, founding president of the Morocco-Israel Friendship Association, is starting a visit on Tuesday, June 22 in the province of Al Haouz in the Marrakech region.
The development of tourism is a concern for the Jewish community in Morocco. Simon Skira, founding president of the Morocco-Israel Friendship Association, is making a working visit to Al Haouz on Tuesday. He will be accompanied by a delegation composed of researchers in international relations and diplomatic affairs. "In light of the spectacular advances in relations that have been achieved by Morocco and Israel, thanks to the vision of King Mohammed VI who promotes peace and development, Simon Skira intends to work for the promotion of tourism and business prosperity that will benefit our two nations," says the Morocco-Israel Friendship Association in a statement.
During this visit, the delegation will meet the president of the provincial tourism council, Marouan Chouioukh, with whom it will hold discussions on the sector. Its mission is to study the various proposals available, facilitate access for tourists, by coordinating with agencies in the two countries and promote Moroccan Jewish culture as a lever for this human rapprochement. "The stimulation of the tourism sector will help Morocco recover after the crisis resulting from the pandemic and which has handicapped the sector for more than a year," the association is convinced.
