Morocco's Security Services Gain Global Recognition for Counter-Terrorism Expertise

Security experts from security studies institutes agree to recognize the "operational excellence" and the "wealth of experiences" of Moroccan security services, particularly in intelligence and the fight against terrorism in Morocco, in the European Union and in the United States.

In terms of security, Morocco has made significant progress in recent years that place it "in a good global position", as confirmed by the Namibio institution. According to experts from security studies institutes, Morocco "reaps the fruits of a diligent journey of two decades, which was crowned in 2023 by its advance of 15 places in the security index", relays Assabah, specifying that Morocco has gone from 89th in the previous ranking to 74th place worldwide out of 142 countries, with 52.63 points.

In the ranking of African countries, Morocco has gained two places, indicates the Namibio institution in its latest reports. Experts say that "security and stability have allowed Morocco to have an attractive environment for tourists, and to host the most important conferences and international fairs", adds the daily, highlighting "the operational excellence and the wealth of experiences" of Moroccan security services.

These qualities "have allowed them to become cross-border institutions, pioneers in preventive operations, holders of accurate information that they analyze professionally in a world living the war of information", adds the same source, saluting the effectiveness of Moroccan security services who "have dismantled networks of dormant cells, both within the European Union and in the United States" and who have become indispensable allies in the fight against terrorism, "notably due to many developments related to the dangers posed by Daesh, whether at the provincial, regional or global level".
