Morocco Secures €192 Million Loan for MBDA Mica-VL Missile Defense System

On April 28, Morocco and BNP Paribas bank signed an agreement concerning a loan to finance the purchase of military equipment manufactured by MBDA France.
According to the official journal that revealed this agreement, the loan is in the amount of 192,100,680 euros and "will be used to finance the purchase of short-range ground-to-air defense missiles Mica-VL".
It is a system composed of "a launcher, a command post and an active radar, both mounted on an ACMAT truck", reports menadefense.net, which points out that "the range of the missile, similar to the one used in Air-to-air, is 20 Km".
