Morocco Secures Twente Defender Julien Mesbahi for National Team

Julien Mesbahi, defender of the Dutch club Twente, has decided to represent the national teams of Morocco. This choice comes as the player, of Moroccan origin, was also eligible for the Netherlands.
Mesbahi, aged 19, has informed the Dutch Football Federation of his decision. He specified that he will pursue his international career with Morocco, after having played for the youth selections of the "Oranje".
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has managed to convince the player to join their ranks. Mesbahy, who plays as a defender at Twente, will join the Moroccan under-20 national team. The administrative procedures necessary for this change of selection are in the process of being finalized, and his integration is planned for the next period.
The Moroccan under-20 national team is counting on Mesbahi’s abilities. The goal is for him to become an important element of the team led by national coach Mohamed Ouahbi, with the prospect of a possible progression to the Olympic team.
It should be noted that Mesbahi is the son of a Moroccan father and a Dutch mother. He is considered a talented young player in the Netherlands, which prompted his club, Twente, to integrate him into the first team at the start of the season.
