Morocco Secures 110,000 Coronavirus Test Kits from South Korean Firm

An agreement for the purchase of 100,000 coronavirus screening devices was signed on Thursday, March 26, between the Moroccan embassy in South Korea and the Osange company for health prevention.
The order, which will be increased by an additional 10,000 units as a bonus, is expected to reach Morocco in the coming days, on a special flight dedicated to the repatriation of South Korean nationals in Africa.
Approved in advance by the Korean administration of medicines and food and the European validation commission, the screening test was selected by the Moroccan authorities, after consulting nearly sixty companies around the world, according to Alyaoum24.
Unlike China, which had advocated general confinement, South Korea had adopted the model of mass participation and large-scale screening, by subjecting all people suspected of having been in direct contact with confirmed cases to the diagnostic test.
This acquisition was denied by the Ministry of Health.
