Morocco-Saudi Ties Cool as King Salman Skips Annual Tangier Visit

Relations between King Salman and King Mohammed VI are no longer rosy. In this regard, the Saudi sovereign, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, unlike his usual habits, has turned his back on Morocco.
Very fond of Morocco, the King of Saudi Arabia often stayed in his palace in Tangier for two months of summer vacation before his son, Crown Prince, Mohammed Bin Salman, alias MBS, forbade him to do so.
The stay of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was an important financial windfall for Morocco. From bookings in 5-star hotels to luxury car rentals, to seasonal jobs, everyone found their account. In total, nearly 800 hotel rooms are booked for the king and his entire court.
His impressive entourage consisted of more than 200 luxury vehicles for his travels in the kingdom. These rentals allowed car rental companies in the city to amortize their expensive limousines and large cars.
