Morocco’s Royal Air Maroc Plans Extra Flights for World Cup Fans if Team Advances

In order to accompany the Atlas Lions in the competition in Qatar, Royal Air Maroc plans to set up a new Casablanca-Doha-Casablanca flight program in the event of their qualification for the round of 16.
Morocco is currently causing a sensation at the World Cup. Walid Regragui’s men have a good chance of reaching the round of 16 of the competition. This exploit is disrupting the system set up by the airline for supporters present in Qatar, indicates a source at the Ministry of Sports to Médias24.
The day after the victory against Belgium, other supporters, wishing to go to Qatar to encourage the team, invaded the travel agencies. A large part of those who had planned to return from December 1st, wish to extend their stay. They could be joined by other supporters who are considering traveling to follow the second round, notes the same source.
This situation will force RAM to mobilize new planes to facilitate the transport of Moroccan supporters. A new program of specific flights is already being considered by the company’s management, we are told.
It should be noted that these additional flights will be launched as part of a tripartite collaboration involving the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports.
