Morocco Road Accidents: 21 Dead, Over 2,000 Injured in One Week

21 dead and 2,120 injured, including 78 seriously. This is the heavy toll recorded in urban areas, during the week of September 23 to 29, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
These accidents are due to driver inattention, failure to yield, pedestrian inattention, speeding, failure to maintain a safe distance, changing direction without using a signal and unauthorized lane changes.
In addition, several other causes have been identified: loss of control, failure to stop, driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to comply with traffic lights, driving in the left lane, improper overtaking and driving in the wrong direction.
The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), in a press release, called on road users to strictly respect the rules of conduct to avoid accidents that leave families in mourning and in great distress.
