Morocco’s Rising Star El Aynaoui Sidelined for June Matches Due to Injury

A footballer in great form who recently turned his back on France to choose Morocco as his sporting nationality will miss the next gathering of the Atlas Lions in June.
Neil El Aynaoui will not make his first appearance with the Atlas Lions during the June gathering due to knee and adductor pain, felt after the last day of Ligue 1. "He was indeed called up again by Walid Regragui for this month of June, but he will not be present due to physical issues (knee and adductors) that occurred after the last match of the season. He will therefore not respond to the call in order to recover from his injuries," reports Foot Mercato.
The Franco-Moroccan midfielder from RC Lens will therefore not be able to play the friendly matches against Tunisia and Benin, scheduled for June as part of the Moroccan team’s preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be held from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026.
The 23-year-old player has had a great season. He scored 8 goals and provided one assist in 26 appearances. His physical issues risk slowing down his momentum.
