Morocco to Revoke Vaccine Passes for Those Refusing Third COVID-19 Shot

The vaccination pass will be withdrawn from eligible people who have not received a third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine six months after a second injection.
The announcement was made by Health Minister Khalid Aït Taleb, during his appearance on the Al Aoula channel, who insisted on the need for the third dose.
On this occasion, the minister recalled that the vaccination pass will now be mandatory from Thursday, October 21, 2021, and will allow its holder to access public administrations, hotels and tourist establishments, restaurants, cafes and hammams, etc. Trips between prefectures and provinces as well as abroad are also conditional on the presentation of a vaccination pass.
The vaccination pass "is a document and a means that is part of the restrictive measures to fight this pandemic. The goal is to ensure that all the spaces where citizens can go, whether commercial, administrative or public, are protected against the appearance of new outbreaks of contamination," explained the minister.
And he added that "The vaccination pass will include the first dose, the second, but also the third," said Khalid Ait Taeb. The latter "can be done six months after the second dose. If the six-month period is exceeded and the person concerned does not take the third dose, the vaccination pass will no longer be valid".
According to Khalid Aït Taleb, this decision aims to block Covid-19 and quickly achieve collective immunity.
