Morocco Reports Spike in COVID-19 Cases, Tangier Emerges as Hotspot

Morocco recorded 326 new infections in the last 24 hours, mainly in the city of Tangier, which alone saw 181 cases.
These figures were revealed a few minutes ago by the Ministry of Health, which also reports 3 new deaths in the kingdom for a total since last March of 276.
However, the mortality rate remains low in Morocco compared to neighboring countries (only 1.57%, compared to more than 4% for the global average and a little over 2% in Africa).
Regarding recoveries, the country saw 211 people leave the hospital on Monday, July 20, bringing the total to 15,132 since last March.
