Morocco Reports 226 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Infections Rise to 9,839

Some 226 new coronavirus infections were recorded this Saturday, June 20 in Morocco, bringing the total number since last March to 9,839, the Ministry of Health announced.
These new infections were recorded in six regions: Rabat-Salé-Kénitra recorded 156 additional infections. It is followed by Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma with 28 new cases, Casablanca-Settat with 21 more, Fès-Meknès with 11 additional cases, Marrakech-Safi with six more and Guelmim-Oued Noun with 4 more.
106 new recoveries were recorded, while the number of deaths has stabilized at 213 cases for several days now. With these figures, Morocco now has 83.58% of cured cases since March 2, the date of the first Covid-19 case.
In addition, the kingdom carried out 16,304 tests in the last 24 hours, for a total of 512,327 since March.
