Morocco Reports Seventh Coronavirus Case as Infections Rise

Morocco confirmed a new case of coronavirus infection on Friday, March 13, 2020.
The infected person is a 39-year-old Moroccan, who arrived in Casablanca on Wednesday, March 4, from Spain, according to the Ministry of Health in a statement. He is currently being cared for in one of the hospitals in the economic capital.
With this new case, the number of people infected with the coronavirus rises to 7, including 4 French people. Among them, one death has already been recorded, that of an 89-year-old woman who returned from Bologna, Italy, by plane on February 25.
On Wednesday, Morocco recorded the 6th case of coronavirus infection. It was a 64-year-old Franco-Senegalese woman, who arrived in Fez on March 5 from France. According to the director of the epidemiology department, nearly 300 people are currently under medical supervision by the health authorities of the kingdom.
