Morocco Reports Record 570 New COVID-19 Cases, Tangier and Casablanca Regions Hardest Hit

Morocco has experienced a record of infections, this Friday, with 570 new cases in 24 hours. Two regions concentrate the majority of infections.
It is Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima which recorded 207 cases. The second most affected region, it has recorded 4,138 Covid-19 infection cases since the beginning of March.
It is followed by Casablanca-Settat, where 206 new infections were recorded. Considered the epicenter of the coronavirus epidemic in Morocco, it has recorded 4,661 new infection cases, or 24.7% of the total confirmed Covid-19 cases in the Kingdom.
Here are the infection cases in the other affected regions:
Fès-Meknès recorded 80 new infections, followed by Rabat-Salé-Kénitra: +24, Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra: +1, Drâa-Tafilalet: +2, the Oriental: +23, Souss-Massa: +1 and Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab: 5.
In addition, 228 recovery cases were recorded for a total of 16,100 remissions since the beginning of the pandemic in the kingdom against 299 deaths.
