Morocco Reports 70 New COVID-19 Deaths, Total Fatalities Near 6,000

70 people died from the coronavirus in the last 24 hours in Morocco, announces the Ministry of Health, bringing the number of deaths in the Kingdom to 5,985 since last March.
The Greater Casablanca-Settat region has 11 deaths, all in Casablanca. In Souss-Massa, there are also 11 deaths, including 4 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 4 in Tiznit, 2 in Inezgane-Ait Melloul and 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha. It is followed by Rabat-Salé-Kénitra, which reports 10 deaths with 4 in Salé, 2 in Kénitra, 2 in Rabat and 2 in Sidi Kacem.
In the Fez-Meknès region, there are 9 deaths including 2 in Fez, 2 in Sefrou, 2 in Taounate, 1 in Meknès and 1 in Moulay Yaacoub. Covid-19 caused 8 deaths in Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima with 2 in Tétouan, 2 in Al Hoceima and 2 in Chefchaouen, 1 in Ouezzane and 1 in Tanger-Assilah. In the Oriental region, Oujda-Angad has 3 deaths against 3 in Berkane and 1 in Nador. The coronavirus killed 5 patients in Marrakech-Safi, including 4 in Marrakech and 1 in Youssoufia.
In Béni Mellal-Khénifra, 4 deaths are announced, including 1 in Fquih Ben Salah, 1 in Khourigba, 1 in Azilal and 1 in Beni Mellal. As for Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra, Guelmin-Oued Noun and Dakhla-Oued Eddahab, they each have 1 death respectively in Laâyoune, Guelmin and Oued Ed-Dahab.
