Morocco Reports 27 New COVID-19 Cases, 1 Death as Infections Decline

The coronavirus caused one death this Sunday, May 31 in Morocco, according to figures released by the Minister of Health. Since the start of the pandemic, the virus has killed 205 people in the kingdom.
Infection figures in Morocco are undeniably declining, even if there are still some hotspots, particularly in Casablanca, which recorded 16 new cases this Sunday. Then come Tangier with 6 new infections for a total of 1100 cases, then a single case for the following regions: Marrakech, Rabat, Beni-Mellal, Agadir, and Laâyoune. Morocco now has a total of 7807 cases.
Since yesterday, the health authorities have carried out 9,114 tests, mainly on contact cases, that is, people or close contacts who have been in contact with infected people.
In addition, the authorities report 58 new recoveries, for a total of 5,459 since the start of the epidemic, or 69.92% of cases.
