Morocco Reports 563 New COVID-19 Cases, 2 Deaths as Toll Rises to 10,907

The coronavirus toll is worsening in Morocco. Two new deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 216 since the beginning of the epidemic. 563 new cases were also recorded during the last 24 hours until Wednesday, June 24 at 5 p.m., bringing the total to 10,907.
In a press briefing held late in the afternoon on Wednesday, Hind Ezzine, head of the Epidemiological Diseases Department at the Epidemiology Directorate of the Ministry of Health, announced that two new deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths since the beginning of the epidemic to 216 and the fatality rate to 2%.
Also, 563 new cases were recorded in the regions of Laayoune-Sakia Al Hamra (168), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (145), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (112), Casablanca-Settat (99), Marrakech-Safi (20), Fès-Meknès (14), Béni Mellal Kénitra (4), and Guelmim-Oued Noun (1).
In the last 24 hours, 61 new recoveries were noted, bringing the total number of people declared cured to 8,468, and the recovery rate to 77.6%, said Hind Ezzine.
