Morocco Reopens University Housing as In-Person Classes Resume

University residences will reopen their doors to students who previously benefited from university housing starting Monday, October 11, 2021. This announcement is signed by the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research.
In a press release, the ministry specified that university residences will thus be opened, in a first step, to students who previously benefited from university housing, then to new students. This decision follows the adoption of face-to-face teaching in the various higher education institutions in order to allow students to continue their studies under optimal conditions.
"In order to ensure a safe return of students residing in university residences, the procedures and modalities associated with this process will be announced later at the level of each university district. And this, in accordance with the health protocol developed by the Ministry of Health. Beneficiaries will thus have to respect the various prevention and precaution measures aimed at limiting the spread of Covid-19," adds the same source.
