Morocco Reopens Sea Routes for Diaspora: Entry Guidelines Announced

Awaited for more than two years by Moroccans residing abroad, entry into Morocco is now possible by sea via Spain. However, provisional conditions are in place.
Following the visit of the President of the Spanish Government, Pedro Sanchez, to Morocco, the government has just formalized the opening of the maritime space via the main ports of the country. "Following the announcement of the immediate and gradual resumption of passenger transport activity by sea, the maritime companies operating the lines serving the Moroccan ports of Tanger Med, Tanger ville, Nador and Al Hoceima are called upon to resume their activity," indicates the Ministry of Transport and Logistics.
Thus, the Ministry of Health has just addressed the health protocol for access to the territory to the Director of the Merchant Navy.
To enter Morocco, here are the conditions:
• Passenger health form, to be downloaded online before boarding (also distributed on board the ship), duly completed;
And
• Valid Covid-19 vaccination passport according to the requirements of the country of origin. Residents in Morocco (Moroccans or foreigners) must have a vaccination passport according to the national vaccination protocol;
Or
• Negative result of a PCR test less than 72 hours old (time between sampling and registration).
