Morocco Reopens Football Stadiums to Fans as COVID-19 Cases Decline

Closed due to the health crisis, Moroccan stadiums will be open to fans again. This is the decision made by the government on Thursday, February 24.
Meeting in Council, the government considered that due to the positive evolution of the epidemiological situation in Morocco, supporters can be allowed to return to the stands. It is in this context that the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, received on Thursday, February 24, the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Faouzi Lekjaa, to discuss the conditions under which this return of supporters can take place without aggravating the epidemiological situation.
Thus, in accordance with the recommendations of the Scientific and Technical Committee, and given the positive evolution of the epidemiological situation, Aziz Akhannouch called on the President of the FRMF to take all the necessary provisions and measures to ensure the success of this decision.
