Morocco Reopens Borders, Expects Surge in Israeli Tourism

A few days after the reopening of national air borders, thousands of Israeli tourists are announced in Morocco. Several companies are preparing to operate flights to the kingdom.
Suspended due to the spread of the Omicron variant, air traffic between Morocco and Israel should resume next week, reports the newspaper "Israel Hayom", specifying that the airline El Al will schedule its direct flights to the Kingdom, starting next Monday.
For its part, the Arkia company should, from next April, operate direct flights between Tel Aviv and Casablanca twice a week. These frequencies are expected to double to 4 weekly flights. While the Israir company has decided to schedule its flights from March 28 next.
For Zoubir Bouhout, a tourism operator, quoted by Hespress, "the Moroccan market is very attractive for Israelis due to the presence of a large Moroccan Jewish community, a common history and a local culture linked to the Jews".
He added that "Morocco is preparing to welcome Israeli citizens under the best conditions and with the deepest respect for Moroccan hospitality traditions".
