Morocco Receives First Shipment of Single-Dose Johnson & Johnson Vaccine

After receiving 2 million doses of the Sinopharm vaccine on Friday, Morocco is preparing to receive 300,000 doses of the Janssen vaccine from Johnson&Johnson this Saturday as part of the Covax program.

300,000 doses will therefore be delivered to the kingdom as part of the international Covax program led under the auspices of the WHO, which aims to provide Covid-19 vaccines equitably and quickly to nearly 200 countries.
Regarding efficacy, Johnson & Johnson has stated that its vaccine was 66% effective overall: the results of phase 3 clinical trials show an efficacy between 57% and 72% depending on the territories for preventing moderate and severe forms of the virus, 28 days after vaccination.
