Morocco Ranks Among Top 5 Travel Destinations for Belgians, Survey Finds

Morocco is among the five destinations considered by Belgians for the next two years. This is revealed by a survey conducted by the Belgian Association of Tour Operators (ABTO) with the help of GfK.
Financial difficulties do not break the desire of Belgians to travel in the next 24 months. More than half of the people surveyed (55%) in the context of the survey on the travel intentions of Belgians say they have already booked a trip, reports SUD INFO. Not enough to reassure Pierre Fivet, spokesperson for the ABTO, who plays the card of caution: "But it’s like in a cycling race, the sprints come at the end. So we’ll have to see what it will be like in the end. [...] Now these are just intentions. We’ll have to see if people actually book. We’re never immune to another crisis." To this other possible crisis, we must add inflation.
What are the more distant destinations in Africa considered by Belgians over the next 2 years? Egypt tops the top 5. It is followed by Kenya and Tanzania. Then comes Tunisia. Morocco closes the podium. "The week after the earthquake in Turkey, our members felt a slight drop in bookings but the trend has since rebounded," comments Pierre Fivet.
