Marrakech Tops Airbnb’s Summer Destination List for Belgian Travelers

According to a recent Airbnb study, Belgians have a preference for relatively close destinations in Europe when planning their summer trips. To arrive at this conclusion, Airbnb relied on bookings made in recent months, taking into account a variety of criteria desired by vacationers.

Among the criteria used by the platform, we can cite the proximity of tourist attractions, the presence of a swimming pool or a beach, as well as the attractiveness of the surrounding environment, for example the countryside.

Thus Marrakech is the most popular destination among Belgians. This trend is attributed to the current economic crisis and the inflation of prices that have led many Belgians to review their vacation budget. Similarly, France is a preferred destination, representing four of the ten top destinations. Other popular countries include the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Italy and Ireland, illustrating a general preference for easily accessible destinations in Europe.
