Morocco Ranks Among Top Countries for Student Visa Applications to Belgium
Moroccans are among the top applicants for study visas in Belgium. In 2021, the country received 13,957 applications, 12% of which came from the kingdom.
According to the latest figures from the Office of Foreigners, the number of study visa applications is exploding. Only one in 5 applications is refused.
Among the top applicants, an increasingly high number of Moroccans are counted. This permit remains highly sought after, the same source points out, specifying that last year, 12% of the applications concerned Moroccan students. The other most represented nationalities are Cameroon (25% of applications), China (8%), Turkey (4%) and the DRC (4%).
The application for a student visa in Belgium includes, among other required documents: a clean criminal record, a medical certificate, proof of sufficient financial means, proof of enrollment in a higher education institution, etc. As soon as a condition is not met, the application is systematically refused.
