Morocco Ranks 96th in Global Prosperity Index, Excels in Green Economy

Morocco is the 96th most prosperous country, according to the Legatum Prosperity Index 2023. Several criteria such as economic growth, education level, health, well-being and quality of life of citizens were taken into account to establish this ranking.
Out of 167 countries analyzed, Legatum Institute placed Morocco 96th in its latest Prosperity Index ranking and 10th in the MENA region, after Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Turkey. Of all the criteria, Morocco recorded its best score in the green economy sector (55th globally) and in terms of product circulation (57th) thanks to the existence of large-scale infrastructure.
The kingdom is also ranked 55th among the countries that have seen a strong improvement in the investment environment. But in terms of governance and health, Morocco is respectively 89th and 86th. It must be said that out of the 167 countries, it is Denmark that tops the ranking, followed by Norway and Sweden.
