Morocco Ranks 5th in Africa’s Wealthiest Nations, World Bank Reports

In the new ranking of the richest African countries, published by the World Bank, Morocco ranks 5th. Not surprisingly, the United States and China are at the top of the global ranking.
Morocco finds itself in the top 5 with $118.72 billion. It is preceded by Algeria, ranked 4th with $169.9 billion, compared to $170 billion in 2017. As for Egypt, it maintains its ranking with $303 billion in GDP, compared to $264 in 2017.
Nigeria and South Africa are respectively at the top of the ranking and in 2nd place with $448 billion and $351.4 billion.
With this GDP, the leading oil producing country in Africa ranks 26th in the world. The United States and China take the first and second place with a GDP (at current prices) of $21,427.7 billion and $14,342 billion respectively.
