Morocco Rally Canceled Due to COVID-19, Replaced by Andalusia Event

The Morocco Rally scheduled to be held at the beginning of October has been canceled due to the coronavirus. The organizers have invited the competitors to the Andalusia rally, which will take place even if the conditions are particular due to the global health crisis.
The coronavirus manages to cancel an event eagerly awaited by rally raid enthusiasts. Scheduled to be held from October 9 to 14, 2020, the Morocco Rally will not take place. David Castera, the director of this competition, indicated that "the virus is still very active in Morocco and makes the organization of the rally very difficult".
Thus, in order not to let the discipline die out, the organizers have decided to set up the Andalusia rally, from October 6 to 10, to offer the Morocco competitors "a quality alternative, in compliance with current restrictions and instructions". The Andalusia rally will be organized in two months, compared to eight normally. The organizers have promised to communicate all "the sporting, logistical and health details within two weeks", reports autohebdo.fr
